We’re thrilled to share a major milestone for Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC)—the grand opening of our brand-new Sioux Falls office, located at 5301 S. Sycamore Street!
To celebrate, we welcomed partners, staff, and community members to a festive holiday Open House on December 4. The energy, excitement, and sense of connection were undeniable as we officially opened our doors and invited others into the space.
A New Chapter in Collaboration and Growth
This new office represents something more than a change of address—it marks the first time staff from four of BHSSC’s five divisions are working under one roof in Sioux Falls. The new location brings together teams from:
- Community and Family Services (CFS)
- Compass Partners in Learning
- Education and Workforce Development
- Health and Human Services
Bringing these divisions together in one location creates new opportunities for collaboration, cross-division innovation, and a more seamless experience for the communities we serve in and around the Sioux Falls area.
A Growing Presence in Eastern South Dakota
With over 600 employees providing services across the state, BHSSC has steadily expanded its presence to meet evolving needs. The new Sioux Falls office is a reflection of that growth—and a commitment to being more accessible and connected to the eastern South Dakota region.
“It’s exciting to have a new central office that can serve our growing staff and partner network in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas,” said Dr. Pam Lange, Deputy Executive Director of BHSSC.
Morgan VonHaden from the Community and Family Services division will oversee the building and help guide daily operations to ensure the space supports both staff and service delivery.
What This Means for Families and Partners
The new Sioux Falls office strengthens BHSSC’s ability to support families, educators, workforce professionals, and service providers across eastern South Dakota. Whether it’s hosting trainings, meeting with partners, or welcoming families into programs, this space will serve as a hub for connection and impact.
It’s also a visible sign of BHSSC’s continued investment in the future—one that values shared leadership, integrated services, and proximity to the people we serve.
We look forward to all the ways this new space will help us better connect, collaborate, and serve.
Community and Family Services is one of five BHSSC divisions working to strengthen South Dakota communities through education, health, and family-centered support. To learn more about our work or get in touch with our Sioux Falls team, visit bhssc.org.
